Easy Tiger, the ninth studio album by Ryan Adams, is a masterpiece of alt-country and rock music. Released in 2007, the album has garnered critical acclaim for its introspective lyrics, catchy melodies, and Adams' signature raspy voice.

The album opens up with "Goodnight Rose," a melancholic ballad that sets the tone for the rest of the album. Adams' lyrics are raw and honest, exploring themes of love, heartbreak, and addiction. The track "Two" is a standout, with its upbeat tempo and catchy chorus. The album's lead single, "Halloweenhead," is a driving rock anthem that showcases Adams' guitar skills.

A lot of the Songs seem to have been added as an afterthought, with no apparent clear idea from the start as to a coherent Album Structure plan. Musicianship is somewhat sloppy which, rather than add to it's charm, perhaps makes it sound a bit amateurish. Not entirely familiar with the Artists' full discography (so I can't speak comparatively) but the attitude lyrically is rather gloomy, at moments where perhaps the album should rather be sustaining it's energy momentum. I've regularly driven in the pouring rain to this record and have more than once felt the temptation to veer off and crash into the nearest tree. That's not saying I'd rather die than listen to it, just that it's sentiment is perhaps a bit of a bad influence. If it affects the listener (for better or for worse) it can't be all bad though right?
