When this was released I couldn't wait to hear it. After listening to it a few times I realized it was just ok. There are some good tunes here but some serious clunkers too. The issue I always had with journey was the rocking tunes sometimes felt forced. Perry's voice is at its best on slower and mid tempo ballads. That doesn't mean they aren't all good! Can't Tame the Lion is the best rocker since Seperste Ways. The ballads are big and bombastic like Open Arms but the last two are soft and beautiful. The disc is worth it.
